Geordie McClelland brings excellent
leadership, marketing skills and creativity to the Fitness
Forward Board.
He is a strategist in brand consultancy for Straightline International.
Geordie is also an independent marketing and management consultant
working with a variety of clients from musical artists to
an environmental management company to a Fortune 500 company.
Prior to this work, Geordie worked for a New York-based Think
Tank of a Fortune 50 company, advising corporate leadership
on critical company issues from marketing and communications
to environmental policy and public relations management. He is also the Executive Director of
Mission Antarctica USA, a non-profit organization working
to ensure the continued preservation of the continent of Antarctica.
Geordie was the captain for the varsity rowing team at Williams
College, and helped lead the team to numerous medals in his
four years there. Williams College women and men collectively
won the Champions Regatta Championship in 2000. Geordie loves
to laugh and make people laugh and has also been spotted performing
at comedy clubs in New York City. He shares in the vision
of Fitness Forward, hoping to help ameliorate the obesity
epidemic and teen mental illness through healthy living, physical
activity, athletics and partnerships with key organizations
that positively influence youth health.
