Fitness Forward is an innovative program that educates and motivates elementary school students, parents, and staff to lead healthier lives by incorporating our five healthy habits into their daily lives:

  • 1 hour + moderate or vigorous Physical Activity
  • Less than 1 hour of TV or Video Games
  • Eat 5-9 Fruits and Vegetables
  • Drink Water, but No Sugar-Added Drinks
  • 9-11 hours of good Sleep



A Generation at Risk

34% of US children are obese or overweight

80% of children do not eat 5 or more fruits & vegetables a day

30% of children in grades K-4 suffer from at least one sleep related problem

20% of US children suffer from a diagnosable mental illness
